Easter Holiday (Nyung-Ne) Fasting Retreat  

Saturday, March 22 - 23, 2008;  5.30 am - 5 pm
Monday, March 24, 2008 ; 7 am-10 am

Nyung-Ne is an effective practice for purifying our faults. The practice was revealed by Bhikshuni Phalmo, a practitioner who suffered from leprosy. She performed this practice for12 years in conjunction with Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) practice and became a great Siddhi, attaining the Celestial Body. 

The retreat course involves powerful practices of purification such as periods of fasting, prostrations, and silence. Practitioners will also recite the six syllable Mantra OM MANI PED ME HUNG. This mantra purifies the six seeds of the six realms within oneself and, furthermore, has the effect of pacifying the suffering of all beings.

Prerequisite: All participants must have received Chenrezig Empowerment or Initiation.
