Sponsor a Monk Print E-mail

Sponsorship Requested at $30 US per month

There are almost 500 monks at Gyuto Monastery in India, mainly young refugees from Tibet. Your sponsorship donations cover room, board robs, health care, educational resources, and a small stipend for these deserving refugee monks. In prior times, these expenses were traditionally covered by the monastery.  These monks have left their families behind or have family members who are similarly improverished.  The heart of Tibetan culture resides i its spiritual teachings, which are preserved in the sincere and dedicated preactice of these monks.

If you are interested in sponsoring a monk or making a donation to the monastery, please contact at 408-9269430 and we will be happy to give you more information about the monastery, or the monks.

We thank you so much for supporting the monks at Gyuto monastery.

Thank you again.

Support for the Gyuto Monastery (India) Print E-mail

There are many ways to support Gyuto monks and their monastery, in order to share their rare tantric rituals and their experiences. You can sponsor a monk resident at the Center in San Jose, or one in India, by making a donation. Your donation helps to cover expenses such as house rent, medical bills, food, transportation, utility bills, monks' robes, and other minor expenses. Even a small donation is of great benefit.

In India, the original Gyuto Monastery has been relocated to Dharamsala, the home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in order to accommodate the large numbers of monks who continue to arrive from Tibet.
